The boards with 33uF capacitors won't run on AC (i have done a whole lot of
calculations to show that, after going through a lot of pain with a CRO to
figure out why my Ethernut didn't seem to be working). It's in the FAQ now,
too.
Use DC > 8.2V :)

Alastair

Subject: [En-Nut-Discussion] Ethernut on AC?
Looks great, have yet to plug it in, since I haven't bought a 9V
power supply yet. The documentation is missing whether tip is + or -, so
I determined to figure it out myself.
As I'm sure you smart people knew from the beginning, there's a
rectifier so it doesn't matter. Cool! Also I notice there's a pair of 33uF
caps attached. Can the Ethernut run on AC?
Thanks,
Austin
