I didn`t use the devian avr-binutils but compiled them for myself. Did not
bring any success. Now I`ve tried some precompiled binaries of the binutils,
and the gcc and that seems to work.

I`ll try the fixes Harald posted. Would be nice to be able to compile the
build-stuff by myself, because I would be able then to use the compiler under a
different Unix. 

Will give you a success report when I tried it.
