Hi Harald,

In your planned future 128k Ethernut (does that plan still exist?), were you
going to use this 16kb banking scheme:

0000 - 7FFF internal & external system SRAM
8000 - BFFF 'n' banks of 16kb
C000 - FFFF peripherals

Are you planning on making modifications to the O/S to use this banking
scheme, or do you intend it to be for application use only (in which case
things like network data might need to be copied around twice)?

The other question is what decoding system were you planning on using:
direct lines from ATmega for the 'bank select', another addressed latch
(like the ALE, and probably need a GAL too), or a small CPLD?

The reason for asking is that if we expand the memory on the ethernut (with
external hardware), it would be good if we could do it in a way that will be
compatible with any future plans you have for the operating system.

Kind Regards,

Alastair Jeremy
