uClinux provides an arm-elf-toolchain at 
http://www.uclinux.org/ports/coldfire/source.html, it's similar to the 
ColdFire toolchain, also elf. I used the coldfire toolchain, compiled 
it under Cygwin and it worked straight forward. The arm target should 
do as well.

What about Nut/OS on a nice ColdFire processor like MCF5282 (512k 
Flash, 64k SRAM, Ethernet MAC, numerous peripherals)?
