Yes, seems the better choice to me too. However, I've no
experience with 9-bit communication. Are there any
applications, where real 9-bit data is used? That would
mean, that the ninth bit will freely change and we had
to call ioctl() over and over again.
In general, Brett's code uses double bytes to output
real 9-bit data, no just mode switching. Can anybody,
who uses 9-bit comm, confirm, that the ioctl method
would work with his existing code? Brett?
