Tyou,

I use the KPIT GCC tool chain which can be found at :-

http://www.kpit.com/download/downloadgnush.htm

Here you will also find a link to a version of HEW 2.2 designed to work with
the KPIT tool chain.
The good news is that this is also FREE.

I suggest you install the HEW 2.2 first and then the tool chain, that way
the tool chain installer will install everything correctly for use with HEW.

Mike

Mike,

Not yet, HEW will cost about more than one thousand of USD.
I only have HEW 1.2 with Hitachi Toolchain V4.0.x.
Here is some specification of various C C for H8/S

Hitachi Toolchain ( V5? )
http://www.eu.renesas.com/products/mpumcu/tool/hew/toolchains/h8c.html

  IAR H8 C

HTC Various Version information
http://www.renesas.com/eng/products/mpumcu/tool/crosstool/latest.html

And I know some there are some different GNU tools for H8.
Are they compatible? KPIT'S GNU
http://sourceforge.net/projects/h8300-hms/

And http://www.apnet.co.jp/techinfo/bench/bench.html
is comparison of different CC for SH.(jp)

Thanks

Tyou
