you have to clean MI_DISABLE in PHY control register
to disable PHY isolation mode
for your ref

  our team are developing LAN91C111 for ethernut,
  and suffer a problem.
  we have passed the internal PHY loopback test, and when we try to test external loopback(still use internal PHY), the controller can not receive the transmitted data(I believe it has transmitted data and issued an TX interrupt).
  does anyone have similar experence to give us some suggestion?
