Right,
There is a 32.768 kHz crystal on the board, I am not
using it in the application code. Maybe you use it in the OS?
I never thought of using that oscillator until you mentioned
it, I guess this is the right thing to use for a RTC.

just to make sure, you are running without 32kHz clock
crystal, right?
