Hello again,

I have some more information regarding my previous post after I've done
some more debugging.  It seems that when I said the controller
disconnected from my client, it was due to a failed fwrite() to the
serial port.  This fwrite() only fails if I read the 60 byte status
packet from the serial port more than once.  Does this make any sense at
all?  I'm doing a bunch of streaming IO with the socket in the same
manner as the serial port; I don't understand what the problem could be.
It would seem that other people would have experienced similar issues by
now.  Anyone have any idea what I could be doing wrong?
