That's fixed all the problems ! I had just downloaded the latest files from
CVS when I got your email :). I was just in the process of compiling with
the new tcpsm.c file.

there had been a recent fix
* net/tcpsm.c: TCP connections suddenly drop during
transmission. Bug in retransmission timer fixed.
