You could check it out from the savannah cvs repo with a -D option, like
this:

  cvs -z3 -d:ext:anoncvs at savannah.nongnu.org:/cvsroot/avr-libc co -D "2002-10-28 23:59" avr-libc

I _might_ still have a copy of it on computer at home, but I will not
likely have time to check until friday evening (PST).
