[En-Nut-Discussion] Re: PPP configuration problem

Hi Can:

I'm just playing with this problem at the moment. I can get the Ethernut
to connect to a Linux ppp daemon, but not to a Windows 2000 box. The
following trace of the transactions may be relevant. The Windows 2000
box just ignores the protocol rejects from the Ethernut, and carries on
re-sending them until it times out. I haven't found how t make the
Windows 2000 box not try to negotiate those things, or how to make the
Ethernut accept them (I think they'd be harmless, but I don't yet know
for sure...)

 From Windows 2000:
Type Configure-Request, Id 8, Length 54
        data len 4 Async-Control-Character-Map
        data len 4 Magic-Number Data
        data len 0 Protocol-Field-Compression Data
        data len 0 Address-and-Control-Field-Compression Data
        data len 1 Callback[RFC1570] Data
        data len 2 Multilink-MRRU Data
        data len 21 Multilink-Endpoint-Discriminator Data
data len 2 Link Discriminator for BACP Data

 From Ethernut:
Type Configure-Reject, Id 8, Length 38
        data len 1 Callback[RFC1570] Data
        data len 2 Multilink-MRRU Data
        data len 21 Multilink-Endpoint-Discriminator Data
data len 2 Link Discriminator for BACP Data

I'll let you know what I find.

But of course it may be nothing to with the above...
