Hi,
Has any one connected these and got them working?
I notice that the pin out on the back on the plug on the JTAG Mkii unit
appears to be the opposite of what I was expecting based on the connections
for http://www.ethernut.de/en/jtag/jtagconn.html where pin 10 is, is where I
would expect pin 1 to be, etc.
Before I try it, I assume that I am wrong??
Has any one else got a mkII unit working with a 1.3r0d board?

In my case, the number of nodes is small, probably no more than 6.
I have ordered some SP471ECN parts and will see how they perform in the real
world...

As far as I can say, there are three main criteria for
RS485 drivers:
1. Speed vs. slew rate
2. Number of nodes, that can be driven
3. ESD protection
Rudy Van Raemdonck suggested to replace the Sipex by
a TI type capable of driving 128 nodes, but they seem
to be difficult to purchase. So we still mount Sipex
SP483ECN. Another interesting manufacturer is
