That might be a quite a job to implement those yourself ;), but you can
use OpenSSH as a reference:

But I would like to remind that it might not fit the flash and if it
will fit, it might kill performance of your AVR. If you succeed on that
one, we (at least I) would like to hear how it will perform in reality.
