Hi Pete,

Took a long time, but finally I have been able to look
into it. Wow, quite a lot of modifications, but I can't
find anything, which looks wrong or badly done. Great job.

Anyway, because of the number of changes I'd prefer to
add it _after_ the next official release.

Are you using AVRGCC or ICCAVR, btw?
