usually it is disabled on most www servers for dynamic content. that is the length is not know till the handler is finished. and there is no buffering.

for static content its fine. is that what your patch does?

Subject: [En-Nut-Discussion] Why is Content-length handling disabled?

Hi,

I have been wondering for some time why Content-length handling is
disabled? If it is just forgotten, I have attached patch here to enable
it's handling. If this (or similar) is incorporated to CVS version I
don't need to patch pro/httpd.c every time I do a sync.

Thanks,
Vesa Jääskeläinen
