[En-Nut-Discussion] string INPUT command

Hi

Is there a standard function available or has someone written a user
input function that echoes the characters as typed, processes backspace
as "backspace/delete" and uses CR as end of line which returns the user
entered string as a pointer. It should work with a stream, ie. function
for both usart or ethernet/IP session. Essentially the input function
of old BASIC.

Any help appreciated. Please accept my apologies if this is blaringly
obvious in the documentation.

Many Thanks
Brett
