AW: [En-Nut-Discussion] Second RS232 port

Hi ELan!

Yes, a MAX232 sounds reasonable, the DS275 should (in my opinion) only be
used when it is *sure* that the "other side" tolerates the way how the DS275
works.

Betreff: [En-Nut-Discussion] Second RS232 port

I have the Ethernut 1.3g. I would like to enable a second RS232 port.
According to the manual, the second UART is available (PD2 & PD3, it looks
like), but I'd need to convert to line levels. From the schematic, it looks
like I can route the second UART through the level converter, but there
doesn't seem to be a way to have 2 separate RS232 outputs (?)

I was thinking of using a Dallas DS275 or a MAX232, off-board. Sound
reasonable?

Thanks,

-elan
