Hi Josh!
I wrote a simple snmp request send / response receive+decode routine a while
ago. It was based on the SNMP message layout (and understanding) I got out
of the book "essential snmp" isbn 0-596-00020-0 plus reading a couple of
rfcs.
Because it provided more of an NMS functionality, I was free to limit the
implementation to what I found useful. To this end, ram/flash/eeprom was no
concern.
I found it important to limit the implementation to snmpv2. v3 (as I
understand) is much more complicated ot implement.
I used Ethereal heavily to check the "self-constructed" message layouts I
produced, that helped a lot.
Regards
Ernst

Betreff: [En-Nut-Discussion] Nut/OS and SNMP
Does anyone have any experience running an SNMP agent on an Atmega128 and
Nut/OS. Are there any resources out thee and are there any hardware
implications ie FLASH, RAM etc?
Thank you
-Josh
