As I did not get any feedback I'll repost my questions again:
I'm reworking the cs8900 ethernet driver for avr to be complient with
the arm variant. So why:
- only have one device defintion, both drivers use dev/cs8900.h
- make code easyer to maintain
- hopefully fix my problems I have on avr platform. There seem to be
major problems with initialisation on my plattform.
I would like to check in the result back to cvs, but this will break
existing applications in case of device name usage. This should be very
easy to fix.
What's your opinion?
Other question: There is still a conditional compiling in the old avr
driver defined by
NUT_CS8900_OLD
Does anybody still need to have this code?
Any comments are wellcome.
best regards,
Ole Reinhardt
