[En-Nut-Discussion] "Enable multiple configurations" option in nutconf

Hello all

I have noticed the "enable multiple configuraions" option in the 
nutconfig, and I wonder what it is meant for. I don't notice any 
difference whether it is selected or not. Anyone could explain what is 
it for, what does it do and perhaps give an example of a situation where 
it is beneficial to use it?
