He mentioned that he switched to Linux and does not use Windows any
more. So he uses wine to run his favored editor (which is a windows
program).

I understood that he had an arm-none-eabi- toolchain that was not
capable compiling for cortex CPUs.

Btw: Yagarto is also just for Windows. On Linux you could use our
"modified Yagarto build" arm-eCross
