[En-Nut-Discussion] more UART interfaces

Hello

I have a project where I need to have 5 UART interfaces. What is the best way to go?
My thoughts are using a SC28C94 or a micro controller to connect to the UART devices. Then I would transfer the received data to my SAM7x using port bits or I2C.

The next steps are not so clear to me. How do I get the received bytes to a virtual port which I can use in ethernut like the real UARTs?
Does anyone have made something similar? Any hints for the way to go?
