Hello Harald, I think the problem is that the STM32F103x8 and 103xB only support up to 3 USARTs and the 103xD and 103xE up to 5 USARTs. It looks that only the STM32F10X_HD and STM32F10X_CL family will support USART4 and USART5. Best regards, Michael
