You might try the putf.c I sent earlier; it seems to work properly with 64 bit values.
I'll attach the file again (probably won't show up on the mailing list).

Ah, that sounds totally resonable.
However my tries to fix 64-bit printing working on STM32 were not
successfull so long. Will try with more patience this weekend...
