I agree. Developers starting with SVN also stay away from more
complicated things like branching, merging, cherry picking and stuff
like that. They mainly use commit and update, may be revert.

We can create a simple document "How to contribute to Nut/OS" explaining
a few simple steps for beginners.

Using the same work flow as with SVN may be, however, less optimal for
the core developers, who need to take care of the master and branches or
forks. But that didn't bother the part time contributors anyway, whether
we are using SVN or Git.
