Yes they are. In fact there are 15 boards with the same software in the same switched network, all of them Ethernut-1. Only the ones that I mentioned misbehave.<BR>

With the basemon I noticed a couple of things:<BR>
<BR>
1. MAC address was 00:00:00:00:00:00 when starting the web server. I set it to Egnite's OUI and the serial number on the board.<BR>

2. Sometimes I can read Software Reset at the serial port when entering the web server.<BR>
<BR>
I can send ethernet broadcasts with the second board using basemon but nothing else.<BR>
<BR>
The software we use logs thru the serial port the telnet connections that are done. Once I read that in the board that links but never answers (does ethernet broadcasts) when trying to connect to it the free memory message showed something like 40 MB free.<BR>

I will contact Egnite. But I would like to know if there is something like a full-featured self check that the board could run, so I can figure out what is causing the problem.<BR>

I'll check temperature and supply voltage as Alexander suggests anyway.<BR>

In that case it _must_ be a hardware failure. If you
change the boards and the error moves with the board,
the obviously the board is defect. Looks like a
temperature related problem. You should contact egnite
for repairing or replacing the board.
Regarding the second board: What's the Basemon output?
