Sigh! I know, I know....

After intensively checking interface requirements and
drivers, I finally ended up with 74LVT16244/245 for
both CF and IDE and a XC95144XL CPLD.

Perhaps the CPLD is a bit oversized...but we do not
know yet what might be required to handle the CF card's
wait signal in a fancy way.

Ah, yes, and I finally dropped the idea of supporting
5V CF cards.
