[En-Nut-Discussion] Urgent: PPP Connection Problem

Dear Mr. Harald,

I have purchased MAX232. Now I need a schematic or an application note to
build the connection. Do you have one?

Two more questions:

Do I have to re-configure the jumper settings on the ethernyt 1.3 board?
Do I have to modify any source code of the Nut/OS?

Thanks.
Can.

Can,

The Nut/OS UART drivers support both UARTs of the
ATmega128. If you're using Ethernut 1.3, you need
to add a RS232 driver, MAX202 or similar. Some extra
effort, but worth the hassle. It is almost impossible
to debug these problems with JTAG, because any breakpoint
will spoil your connection flow.

With Ethernut 2, you can jumper both UARTs to the DSub-9
connector.

In any case, look to the Ethernut 2 hardware manual.

Harald
