    Hello,

    A watchdog timer or THE watchdog timer?
There is a disscusion about the watchdog and using 
it for  reset on AVRFreaks:

I remember same disscusion was on this list too in the past,
check the archives.
ATMega128 watchdog timer in datasheet starting from page 52.
Also "Watchdog timer handling" in avr-libc user manual.
