for heavens sake, this is not what I intended ;-)  I don't mean running FreeBSD
on AVR based hardware like the "Ethernut" board, but using FreeBSD as a cross-
development environment for Nut/OS.  Just like other people on this list use
Windows, Linux or even Mac OS X.

It's probably my fault.  The first sentence of my question is actually garbage,
because I inadvertently omitted the word "environment".  I swear I will never
again post to a mailing list right after getting up from bed in the morning ;-)
