The latest Nut/OS Configurator (Nut/OS >= 3.9.8) requires
wxWidgets >= 2.6.0.

is for Suse, but should be helpful.

Building in the source tree requires almost nothing, just
untar the Nut/OS source package and the AVRGCC toolchain.
Run ./nutsetup, change to lib/ and run make install.
