Hi,

yesterday I got my ethernut starter kit, version 2.1.
HW tested, SW installed, first project compiled, everything ok.
But when I try to program the board, I run into problems.

First, AVR Studio (V 4.11, from Developer's CD) delivers the following
message on start of the programmer:
"An AVRISP with firmware version 31.32 has been detected. The firmware
version corresponding to this installation of AVR Studio is 2.01. Press
OK to launch the upgrade program to perform a downgrade, or Cancel to
continue without downgrading. NOTE! Correct operation is not guaranteed
if a downgrade is not performed."

What to do? Recognition of firmware version seems to be not correct.
When I click Cancel and try to program the chip, the signature can be
read: 0x1E 0x97 0x02 (ATmega128). The programmer says to program the
chip, but cannot verify the result. The flash seems to be erased, since
the board does nothing upon reset.

In the conncetion dialog I have to choose "STK500 or AVRISP", I assume
this to be ok since the alternative selections deliver "connection
failed" messages.

Can anyone please tell me how to program the board?

Many thanks,

		Peter
