your "spam" is most welcome. :-) Sometimes everyone was busy
and easily your post went down the pile and got lost.

The hostname is indeed not set by DHCP. As far as I remember,
there is a DHCP option in the RFCs, but it is ignored by
the Nut/OS DCHP client.

CONFNET knows two IP addresses: cdn_cip_addr and cdn_ip_addr.
cdn_cip_addr contains the configured address and must be zero
when using DHCP. cdn_ip_addr is the last used one and is set
by DHCP. You may also refer to
