Digikey will ship worldwide, and have stock.  I got samples from ATMEL 
via a local rep in about a week.

Seems like family would be a natural choice for NutOs. The AT91SAM7X256 
by example ( 
http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/product_card.asp?part_id=3755_  ) has 
a built-in 10/100 MAC, 3 uarts, SPI, I2C, USB device, CAN.  With no 
external bus you have a low cost power full net controller - just 
connect a clock, power.
