hi Jari

the winavr package your using contains the avr-libc which contains  
functions to read/write eeprom.
check the avr-libc documentation. ethernut itself is using some parts  
of the EEPROM, so check
the ethernut documentation to see which areas are free (I'd guess  
ethernut uses the first x hundred bytes.. :)
