I am porting our application to a new processor (at91sam7x256)

I am considering a) upgrading to the latest or b) just using the 
processor specific stuff for the arm from the latest build and keeping 
the old stuff.

I am leaning toward the latter because I think our hacked ppp stack more 
advanced (does nat icmp and server ppp all which I am willing to and 
have shared).

So what is new and compelling in the last couple of years?
