Hello Thorsten,
generaly, if you want only update some parts of your webside, you should
work with iframes ( google: iframe selfhtml ).
Place your pointer and the temperature-value in the iframe and only
refresh this.
You will get a very stable page without any flicker..
( most browsers work best with no background color in iframe.... )
