[En-Nut-Discussion] Apache MD5 signature checker

Hi Matthias,
thx for your support, but it was a wrong presumption of me to think that I
need MD5 :)
The default encoding method of hashing passwords is DES-based! MD5 hashes
are marked
with a $1$ as part of the hash string.
I found a portable version of crypt, which is part equal to crypt(...) in
libcript.so|a of Linux:
/*------------------------------------------------------------------
* Portable crypt() Implementation.
*
* Copyright 1990,1991 Eric Young. All Rights Reserved.
* This version of crypt has been developed from my MIT compatable
* DES library.
* The library is available at pub/DES at ftp.psy.uq.oz.au
* eay at psych.psy.uq.oz.au
*------------------------------------------------------------------
*/
This code fits with very little changes (some type macro issues) perfectly
into my
NUTOS application.
Problem solved.
Now my "user:passwd" management follows the typical Unix and Apache hashing
scheme.
...have fun...
Michi

hi Michi
we have an MD5 implementation in our BTnut (btnode.ethz.ch). have a
look.
if this code could/should be in nut/os, speak up. :)
