Please wait checking in these addition until I created the 4.4 branch. 
Probably today or latest tomorrow.

Unfortunately not all known bugs had been added to the bug tracker yet. 
Due to lack of time I may not be able to search through this list. On 
the other hand there had been many important fixes since 4.2 and I don't 
want to delay the new release any longer. Remaining bugs need to be 
fixed then in the branch _and_ CVS HEAD.
