The current state of avr-gcc is still a bit confusing regarding version 
4.3.0. Patches are needed to get a fully functional version, but one of 
the included patch in the latest WinAvr release broke code generation.

Eric Weddington, WinAvr maintainer, pulled out the 20080411 release 
because of this.

He is currently working on this problem and a fixed version of WinAvr 
should be available soon. Persons interested in avr-gcc should subscribe 
to avr-gcc-list (and probably avr-libc)  to be informed since Eric 
communicates regularly on these lists.
