[En-Nut-Discussion] Recent checkins concerning MMnet and others...

Hi all,

I've just seen several checkins. Most of them are related to MMnet XX.

First I'd like to remember to log those changes in the ChangeLog file in
the ethernut root directory.

Second I've seen that lots of the recent changes to use Stdint types
where reverted back to the BSD style types. These changes should
definatly changed back to Stdint. We recently discussed the advantages
of Stdint types on this mailing list. For those whose compiler does not
support stdint types there is a compatibility header file located in

./include/crt/iccavr/stdint.h

Next point I'm not shure what's the unspoken gentleman agreement are the
copyright notices. I've seen that a copyright notice was added to just
every modified file. My own view of these things is that if everybody
who contibuted just a few lines to a file adds its own copyight notice,
we'll sometimes end up in a few hundret lines of header for every file.
I would suggest that the main copyright should hold the person who have
initialy added this file and that we should create a list of
contributors, a hall of fame, where evrybody who helped to invent NutOS
a little bit further get's his own little star...

Just my two cent... (the last remark)

Regards,

Ole Reinhardt
