I'm sorry for not having the time right now to figure out any detail. 
But as a general hint:

Instead of disabling auto negotiation, I'd suggest to remove 
PHYANAD_TX_FDX and PHYANAD_TX_HDX from the auto-negotiation 
advertisement register.
