[En-Nut-Discussion] Databus and chip select

Hi everyone,
 
I am trying to use an ADC in combination with the Ethernut 3.0e and
before I am trying to invent the wheel again I was wondering if there
are people here who tried something similar. 
 
I want to read the data form an ADC through the data bus (on the
expansion board) in combination with the chip select 3 pin (NCS3). I've
read that I have to change the startup sequence also if I'm using NCS3,
so my question is pretty straight forward: Is there someone who used the
chip select in combination with the data bus and want to share his/her
experience? 
Also I'm interested in what (and where) I have to make changes in the
startup sequence (I believe it is the Bootmon app in my case).
 
I was also wondering why I need to change the remapping in the startup
because this is not a part of "memory" (for as far as you can call it
memory ;))where I want to launch my application from. Can't I do the
initialization of this part in the first part of my application?
