Actually the board draws less than 100mA. Another 20mA are used by the
SP Duo programmer.

The problem with many low cost power supplies is, that they claim to
deliver 200mA at 9V, for example. In fact the voltage drops below 7V at
100mA+ or the 50/60 Hz ripple becomes too high.

Using a 12V supply for Ethernut 1 is a good choice.
