Mmhh... I'm not aware, but it could be. There had been a change from 
board version 3.0 to 3.1, replacing the EEPROM by DataFlash. There also 
had been a software change some time ago, which allows to use more than 
one sector for configuration data.

For a quick fix I'd suggest to use a local routine for saving the 
configuration within your application.
