the avr toolchain packages are also in the stable tree, but I've just 
submitted
newer versions (avr-gcc 2.15, avr-gcc 3.4.3, avr-libc 1.2.3, uisp 
2005xxyy) to
the Fink Package tracker. so, hopefully they'll go into unstable soon.
