Hi Harald,

I have thought the same, and I have been searching for an old stk500.exe
version. I've found one in:
http://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?module=FreaksFiles&func=viewFile&id=494&showinfo=1

It is version 1.2, and although this one detects the Programmer, still
fails to programthe micro.

I have not tried the AVRStudio programmer yet.

If I find how to solve the problem I'll say it!!

Can anybody send me his working stk500.exe, please? It is set in the Atmel
directory:

..\Atmel\AVR Tools\STK500\Stk500.exe

Thanks,
Carlos.
