Hi Thorten!
You will find valuable Information at:
http://www.embedtronics.com/nokia/fbus.html
and I attach an explanation of the Nokia FBUS seral protocol which I found
somewhere on the web, too (I hope I dont clog any milboxes doing this).
One (very basic) issue is that the Nokia data cable (DB 9 RS232 serial to
Nokia FBUS) contains some electronics to shift the voltage between TTL
(phone) and RS232(serial I/F) level. Therefore, the RS232 RTS and DTR must
be at high/low level to allow the voltage level shifter circuitry to work by
providing +12v and -12V to it! Ethernut only provides one RS232 signal in
addition to TXD on the DB9, so you will need to do some HW fiddling here).
regards
Ernst

Betreff: [En-Nut-Discussion] Send SMS via GSM modem or mobile phone
Hi,
did anyone managed to send an SMS via serial port and GSM modem or phone
from Ethernut.
I looked at Linux' gsmlib, but it's C++ an I am not familiar with that. I
want to use a Nokia 6310i, but it would be good to use others also.
Thank you.
Thorsten
