Hi Ernst,

I think I found it. In newer releases the binaries are for Rev-E boards, 
while you probably got Rev-D.

The configuration differs in the PLL setting

Rev-D:
NUT_PLL_CPUCLK = "2"
NUT_PLL_ETHCLK = "0"
NUT_PLL_NPLCLK1 = "1"

Rev-E:
NUT_PLL_CPUCLK = "1"
NUT_PLL_ETHCLK = "2"
NUT_PLL_NPLCLK1 = "0"

The reason for this change was to allow glitch free CPU clock switching. See

It would be better to have board specific binaries rather than CPU 
specific ones like now.
